OPEN LETTER TO BEA ALONZO – ABOUT HER RANCHARD FARM

I call this type of farm Ranchard - Ranch + Orchard... a team work between livestock/ animals and plantrees especially fruitrees. Bea, you are in the right track... because as you expand and provide the livestock with enough/ abundant grasses (which Genesis 1 mentions as one of the key element of God's complete creation), it will mean that you have installed the ancient system of free food... that is, free feeds for the animals. Not commercial expensive, unrenewable feeds.

Step One: Grass eaten by the big animals = nutrients of the leaf multiplied by at least 6 times

Now, once you will have achieved that first requirement of a sustainable farm or ranchard, it will become like this: grasses as free feed for the big animals,

step 2 is: the manure becomes the feed of the smaller animals, namely: vermis/ earthworms. Nutrients are multiplied as much as 10 times.

Step 3: vermicast or earthworm dung is further eaten (broken down) by smaller animals, the microbes or good bacteria. Result: nutrients are multiplied not by 6 or 10 but by 1,000s!

The call the result foliar, or liquid fertilizers

The microbes are constantly breaking down larger particles of dung into liquified or powderized form, and moreover, making them many times more nutritious.

This miracle of Nature is still boggling the mind of the scientists how on earth are the microbes and also the cows and the earthworms for that matter, able to multiply the nutrients.

You can assist the vermis/earthworms hasten the production of foliar by putting their vermicast/ vermi dung into a tin container (reccomended: the big one we call baril in Visayan). Make a mixture of mollasses or kinugay with water and pour this into the 'baril' and stir it so that the vermicast (earthworm dung) would be mixed to the molasses. You need to aerate or oxygenate it, that is, allow oxygen into the mixture, so you need to use a paddle to manually stir it or you can install a small machine to perform a very slow stirring... the bangus farmer also do this principle of stirring the water to allow oxygen into the waters to help the growth of the fishes. Same principle.

Once there is enough oxygen/ air into the mixture, the wild good bacteria from around will dive into the mixture to literally eat the molasses and vermicast (earthworm dung)... it is called fermentation just like what occurs in turning fruits such as grapes into wine. Foliar making is fermentation, like wine making.

The resulting liquid fertilizer called foliar is mega-fertilizer. It is so nutrients-packed that it only requires one teaspoon of it to mix with 16 liters of water for spray-fertilizing!

When you bring back the lost ones: cows earthworms and bacteria/ microbes for fertilizer making, earthworms for plowing, birds and the bees for frequency management and anti-radiation, also bees for pollination and honey making, IT WILL END UP TO ALMOST NO HUMAN OR VERY MINIMAL HUMAN EMPLOYEES! Hence, no more modern slavery called employment.

And the advantages are so great and so many that you can see SSS, GSIS, medicare/ PhilHealth dwarfed and becoming unnecessary, to wit:

1) the overall health-giving environment and food the Ranchard will provide, there will be no need of Philhealth/ medicare and bankruptcy-causing big Pharma:

2) SSS/GSIS pension will become unnecessary;

3) Ranchard or the fruitrees in particular continues to do a sunrise even if the rest go down into sunset: age, health, job, business, etc.;

4) even if you are in sleeping, or in a wheelchair or in a coma, or retired, FRUITREES DO NOT STOP BUT CONTINUE BEARING FRUITS FOR YOU, GIVING YOU THE INCOME YOU NEED, THE HEALING YOU NEED, THE HEALTH YOU NEED, THE PEACE AND SERENITY YOU NEED, THE JOY YOU NEED, GIVES YOU THE OPPORTUNITY TO HAVE CLOSENESS WITH PRIME CREATOR/ FATHER ABSOLUTE AND CLOSENESS WITH CREATION... it seems like a full package!

The fruitrees, provided they were cared well previously, will be more faithful than your children. You children may lose their ability to provide for you although may still have the willingness, but the fruitrees?... they will not lose their ability to provide for you... they are our non-human caretakers in God's behalf...

Here we see God's secrets or one of His secrets of sustainable prosperity.

First goal: organic fertilizer flowing like river!

Step 4: Once you have these fertilizers (manure, vermicast, foliar) in great abundance, you can proceed to have a corn or rice field which can provide you supplement feeds for you to go full blast with poultry. Added bonus: free food for us, the corn / rice grains.

Step 5: Once, the poultry or free-range chicken raising is in full blast, you will have additional source of very nutritious fertilizer, not to mention egg and meat.

Step 6: You can also raise additional earthworms while seasoning the chicken dung with rice hull. The rice hull will not only cover the chicken dung and prevent the bad odor from spreading, the rice hull also will help the earthworms to multiply fast and will become also feeds to the earthworms as they decompose with the dung. The resulting fertilizer from a combination of rice hull and chicken dung is very nutritious... this is what Cebu's Farmer Scientists led by UP Agri Dean Dr. Romulo Devide is using to fertliizer the farms of his members to produce camote as huge as 1 kilo per piece or 10 kilos of squash per piece, or 6 ears of corn in a corn plant, etc..

Step 7: This endless increase of organic fertilizer including the urine and also human waste will support a great abundance in flowers, fruits, honey, wine, you name it.

Step 8: Always put beauty in every way. So be sure to also have flowers everywhere to make your farm, not only super-productive and almost zero cost eventually, but to also make your farm a tourist attraction.

Old paradigm: A farm is all about productivity... hence, hard work.

New paradigm: A farm is both beauty and productivity.

Caution: Ranches (animals and land without fruitrees) are proving to be un-sustainable. The very beautiful ranches in the USA are going bankrupt and are for sale!

Cause: The ranches have only cow as their product. When red meat, processed milk, and other cow /dairy products became associated with CVDs (cardio-vascular diseases esp heart attack and stroke) killing around 700,000 Americans per year, making CVD the No. 1 killer disease in the USA and also cancer due to red meat, growth hormone, homogenized milk, etc., making cancer the 2nd killer disease in America, claiming around 600,000 lives every year, the sale of cow declined. And the ranches, despite their organic or grass-feeding, also suffer and are many of them for sale.

They need to insert fruitrees as soon as possible to save the ranches from being converted into industrial zone and thus its great beauty disappear. The fruitrees can provide a formidable supplementary income to help sustain the ranch. The ranch has to evolve into ranchard... it must... if we do not want to see the ranch disappear.

For the poor Filipinos, the forest, still amounting to 53% of the total land area of the Philippines, will be better off to be converted into FOOD FOREST, or be distributed to the landless citizens, say, 5 hectares each, and be turned into Ranchard.

This is far more compassionate and far more wiser than becoming OFWs. OFWism is destroying the peace and unity of marriages and families. OFWism is tearing apart marriages and families. OFWism is creating holes in the hearts of family members especially the young ones... once this emotional hole is there, it gives drug addiction to become a thriving and very profitable industry in the Philippines because they can present shabu as the replacement, albeit false filler, of the missing parent or the missing spouse.

OFWism is the root cause of drug addiction in the Philippines. If the mother is present, and acts like a hen, gathering her chicks at twilight, covering them with her warm and strong wings... no child can become a drug addict.

Unless and until we put an end to this type of OFWism where the young mother is lacerated from her young children, drug addiction will not end.

And heinous crimes will not end.

And there will be no end of victims. The first victims are the drug addicts. Then these victims will then turn into victimizers...
